Last updated: June 17, 2026
1. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how KJV Bible Audio (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.
This policy applies to the KJV Bible Audio mobile app. It does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, sharing apps, or services that we do not control.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Bookmarks and reading/listening activity: if you save bookmarks, continue listening, or use reading features, the App may store your selections and progress.
- Support messages: if you contact us, we may receive your email address and the information you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
- App usage data: screens viewed, buttons tapped, listening duration, reading activity, sharing actions, paywall views, and subscription funnel events.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language, country/region, and approximate device information provided by analytics tools.
- Crash and performance information: crash logs, error reports, stack traces, and diagnostic information used to fix bugs and improve stability.
Information we do not intentionally collect
- We do not require an account for the first version of the App.
- We do not ask for your phone number, birthday, precise location, or government ID.
- We do not intentionally collect prayer requests, private religious statements, or sensitive personal notes unless you voluntarily send them to us in a support request.
- We do not upload the full Bible verse text you read or share as analytics event parameters.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide Bible audio, reading, bookmarks, sleep timer, and verse sharing features.
- Remember your local preferences, such as reading theme, font size, selected book, and playback progress.
- Understand basic product performance, including daily active users, session duration, listening time, reading usage, and sharing usage.
- Improve the App experience, fix bugs, prevent crashes, and measure which features are useful.
- Manage subscriptions, purchases, and access to premium features.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about important service changes.
4. Local App Data
Some data is stored locally on your device, such as bookmarks, playback position, recently played chapters, reading preferences, theme settings, and whether you have enabled certain App options.
If you delete the App, local data stored only on your device may be deleted. If you reinstall the App, subscription access may be restored through Google Play or the applicable app store account, but local bookmarks and progress may not be recoverable unless a future sync feature is added.
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use Firebase Analytics to understand how users use the App and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and technical problems. These tools may collect app usage events, device information, approximate region, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
Example analytics events may include: app open, home view, audio play, audio pause, listening duration, reading view, verse card preview, share click, share success or failure, paywall view, trial start click, subscribe success, and restore purchase events.
We use analytics in an aggregated and product-focused way. We do not use analytics to identify your religious beliefs, and we do not sell analytics data.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the app store or payment provider, such as Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card number or banking details.
We may receive purchase status information, such as whether a subscription is active, canceled, expired, restored, or pending, so that we can unlock premium features and provide restore purchase functionality.
Subscription management, cancellation, refunds, and billing issues may be handled through the applicable app store account and policies.
8. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to operate and improve the App, including:
- Google Play: app distribution, subscriptions, billing, purchase restoration, and subscription management.
- Firebase Analytics: aggregated app usage measurement.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash and error diagnostics.
- Device sharing services: when you choose to share a verse image or text through another app.
These third-party services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Your Choices and Controls
- Local data: you can delete the App to remove local app data from your device, subject to device backup settings.
- Subscriptions: you can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play or the applicable app store.
- Sharing: you decide whether to share verse images or text and which app to share them with.
- Permissions: if the App requests any device permission in the future, you can manage it through your device settings.
- Support requests: you can contact us to ask questions about this policy or your data.
10. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including by service providers that help operate analytics, crash reporting, app distribution, and payment services. Data protection laws may differ from those in your region.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
